Coastal Research and Education Society of Long Island (CRESLI)

CRESLI is a resource for groups to gain knowledge and understanding of New York's coastal ecosystems, marine mammals, and sea turtles. During the summer, groups can join Long Island’s most experienced researchers on an inshore whale watch to catch a glimpse of marine diversity such as fin, minke, humpback, right, sperm, and pilot whales. CRESLI also offers summer offshore overnight watches to the Great South Channel or canyons along the edge of the continental shelf. From November to late April, CRESLI offers guided walks to learn about, observe, and photograph the native seal population.
