Cultural Programs of the National Academy of Sciences (CPNAS) explore the relationships between culture, science, engineering, and medicine through rotating art exhibitions, a permanent art collection, and a series of public programs that include theatrical readings, monthly salons called DC Art Science Evening Rendezvous, film screenings, and lectures. The permanent exhibition, In Service to the Nation, highlights the history and work of the National Academy of Sciences. Works of art by James Perry Wilson, Robert Berks, Cheryl Goldsleger, and Gregory Vershbow are featured in the exhibition, as well as original building blueprints from the 1920s.
