Adler Planetarium

America’s first planetarium. Students and scouts will learn hands-on about astronomy and space travel. See how a telescope and lenses work, or explore and touch parts of our solar system. In the Astronomy in Culture exhibit, groups can read about the history of astronomy, learn about early astronomy principles, and see the creative inventions from hundreds of years ago like the astrolabe and a “cannon sundial.” In the Community Design Lab, visitors can make their own inventions while solving creative problems. Have an overnight trip at the Planetarium for hands-on activities, Sky Shows, and much more!
