Hoyt Farm Nature Preserve

Students at the Hoyt Farm Nature Preserve will enjoy its many live animals, educational displays, and even a Native American artifact collection. School groups can participate in hands-on programs that introduce them to animal characteristics, classifications, and behavior. Some programs include Animals on the Farm, Critter Camouflage, Hibernation & Migration, and What Makes Me a Mammal? Groups can also learn about maple sugaring; the types of animals that live in and around ponds; and the life cycles of humans, butterflies, birds, and frogs. Hoyt Farm is only open to Smithtown residents, therefore, nonresidents are required to pay a small surcharge.
