Providence Canyon

A unique geological area with soft and highly erosive soils, Providence Canyon began forming in 1971. The land has been washed away creating 16 canyons, some as much as 150 feet deep. Unusual wildflowers grow in the canyons and can be observed on the 3-mile canyon loop trail. Groups can enjoy hiking the trails, backpacking, and more at the 1,003-acre park. Educational programs at the park focus on topics such as geology and astronomy.
