Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta Monetary Museum

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta Monetary Museum exposes groups to the world of economics from barter to present. On a guided or self-guided tour through the exhibits, groups will learn about the history of money, view rare coins and currency, and see inside cash-processing operations, where millions of dollars are counted, sorted, and shredded on a daily basis. Guided tours also take groups through the bank’s boardroom. Interactive and multimedia exhibits plus a short film provide in-depth lessons on the important role of the Federal Reserve. Field trips must be reserved at least a month in advance.
