Maine State Aquarium

The Maine State Aquarium serves to foster an appreciation for the Gulf of Maine, its species, and resource conservation by connecting research and education. Your campers will love all the sea life our aquarium has to offer! In addition to seeing all sorts of sea creatures, campers can touch a large number of our animals and plants in our Tidepool Touch Tank, such as sea urchins, sea stars, horseshoe crabs, sand dollars, and more! We also have a Shark and Skate Touch Tank where our knowledgeable staff will show campers how to safely and respectfully touch the sharks and skates. All tours include a shark or lobster presentation.
