George B. Dorr Museum of Natural History

The George B. Dorr Museum of Natural History investigates, interprets, and displays the natural world of Maine. Museum staff and students lead a variety of programs and activities that encourage everyone to participate in natural history learning. Campers can go on a scavenger hunt, spend time at the indoor tidepool, and get a close look at study skins. Our programs include going on a nature exploration with a museum educator, assembling the skeleton of a 24-foot minke whale, examining birds to learn about bird adaptations for feeding and flight, and more.
