Freedom Trail Foundation

The Freedom Trail is a 2.5 mile, red-lined route that leads to 16 historically significant sites, each of which is an authentic treasure. On the trails, campers will explore museums and meetinghouses, churches, and burying grounds. They will learn about the brave people who shaped our nation and discover the rich history of the American Revolution. The Freedom Trail Foundation offers walking tours led by an 18th-century costumed guide to groups. Tour options include Walk into History, which transports students back to the days of the American Revolution; Pirates & Patriots, a look at Boston's 18th-century harbor; and the African-American Patriots Tour that tells the tales of intrigue and bravery, poetry and defiance by Black Boston townspeople in the 18th century.
