First Landing State Park

Visit the 2,888-acre park where English colonists first disembarked in 1607. First Landing State Park provides groups with learning experiences in science and history. The park's Chesapeake Bay Center gives groups a glimpse of what life was like for the English colonists when they first landed through displays about the history of the First Landing.  The Trail Center offers exhibits highlighting the varying ecosystem’ plants and animal life within the park and people’s interactions with the park throughout time. A wide variety of educational programming with a park ranger can be scheduled for groups. Recreational activities at the park include hiking, kayaking, canoeing, crabbing, and bike riding. Groups can camp or stay in cabins over night, see the park’s website for reservation information.
