Rockwood Nature Center

Rockwood Nature Center provides a bevy of programs and a beautiful facility for visitors of all ages to view and explore nature. Choose from a number of interesting hands-on nature programs, where students and scouts can go on scavenger hunts, learn about Virginia’s native snakes and other nature center animals, embark on their first nature walk, and even take a beginner’s whittling class. Explore over five miles of trails that ramble through the forest and wetlands surrounding Rockwood, some of which are wheelchair accessible. Archery classes are also available.
