Viles Arboretum

Located on more than 224 acres containing 24 plant and tree collections—from conifers to a quarry rock garden and forestry area—the Arboretum provides opportunities for habitat exploration and education. Programs include: a basic walking tour focusing on seasonal natural history highlights; comparing and assessing living organisms in at least two habitats, then learning how organisms maintain or change their surroundings; collecting and studying plant seeds to understand how plants adapt and survive; using tools to measure the age, height, and circumference of a tree; and more.
