FIELD TRIPS

Skate Zone’s STEM Program: EDUCATION AND FUN, ALL ROLLED INTO ONE! A unique educational experience that gets students EXCITED about learning! Students will learn how the concepts of SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, and MATH can be found in everyday experiences, even FUN experiences like ROLLER SKATING! Professional STEM Educators teach visiting students about how STEM principles exist in just about every part of life. The lessons focus on hands on activities that are both educational and fun! topics like friction, geometry, design, statistics, motion, the Pythagorean Theorem, sound waves, and frequency. Activities include assembling a skate and testing its performance, participating in a projectile motion lab, calculating skater speeds, and more. Following the completion of the 1-hour STEM lesson, the students roller skate for physical fitness. While roller skating, the concepts the students learned are continually reinforced. Other field trip opportunities include Middle School Mixers, an icebreaker program, and Incentive Daytime Trips. All packages can include food and drinks.

FIELD TRIPS

Bring your summer camp to Skate Zone! They offer public, semi-private, and private sessions during the summer. Semi-private sessions are designed for groups of 20 or more, private sessions are designed for groups of 50 or more. There's no minimum for the public session. Group discounts during the public session are available; groups of 10 or more receive FREE rentals! So whether you have a small or a large summer group, Skate Zone can accommodate you! Semi private and private sessions can include food/drink packages. STEM Programs are also offered during the summer time!
